This mini lion represents our cleft palate community, hence the distinct nose that mimics the upper lip opening. A cleft lip is a gap in the upper lip that can extend into the nose. The opening might be on one or both sides or in the centre. When the palate (the roof of the mouth) contains a hole in the nose, this is referred to as a cleft palate.

Each bear is uniquely crocheted by the women of Kya Sands. They make great gifts for birthdays, baby showers, or just to bring a smile to someone's face.

Our mini rare bears are available in a variety of animals, so you can choose your favourite or even start a collection!
